Jasmin Balda has been working as a Director at the Heinrich Böll Foundation's East Asia Office in Seoul since 2025.

Prior to joining the Foundation, she gained various experience in the European Council in Brussels, the Bavarian Representation in Tokyo as well as in the field of public adminitration in her Regional Government.

Jasmin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Studies and Law as a Minor from the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and completed a Master’s in International Cooperation from Seoul National University. She further holds a Diploma in Public Administration from University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Bavaria. She is fluent in German and English and is constantly working on improving her Korean and Japanese.
